Every index we track, ordered by position within each field. A rank is meaningless without the field it was ranked against, so the size of that field is always shown.
Two of these count from the wrong end. On air quality and road deaths, 1st is the worst place in the world to be — those rows are marked “from the worst”, and their arrows are corrected so that a green arrow always means India improved.
